Had a good experience the first time and felt that when I sold my clothes it was fair. I came back expecting another good experience and instead it was a complete joke. They didn’t accept any of my clothes due to “stains and rips” even though none had stains some being brand new and one pair of jeans was purchased with rips as a style. I would rather donate these to someone who will appreciate what I have to offer.
We have been to many locations for Plato's Closet. This one has a large variety of options and kind staff. And as usual, great prices for slightly used clothes
This store has a fabulous selection! The manager has automated the process of selling your like new/used clothing so it’s super simple and fast. And she is always posting deals on their IG account. Love this store!
I had a very horrible experience. I love to sell my items that I don’t want anymore to Plato’s, but this time has made me not want to do that anymore. I brought in 4 pairs of sneakers that I have email and paper receipts for ( Vans and Nikes). They told me it would only take about 15-20 minutes. The process ended up taking an hour as they stood at the counter, bringing other workers to look at the shoes and converse to each other. When I finally got my text message, they put all of the shoes back in my bag and said “ we couldn’t authenticate them”. This was a complete waste of time and very disrespectful.
I've taken great stuff, some name brand and barely worn, or not worn at all. Most of it was rejected with feeble excuses , and I was offered only 9 dollars for a denim dress and a pair of superga shoes barely worn that I had bought for about 90 euros a couple of summers ago. I arrived towards closing time, and I think this was the real issue. Next time you think it's too late, just tell people to come back rather than pretending to still accept items to buy. I'd rather donate at this point.
I've sold to and bought from this Plato's and I've always had a good experience! I've gotten some nice brands at really good prices! The employees are always sweet and working hard. I wish I lived closer so I could come back more often!
This place is actually ridiculous. I was offered $11 for over $150 worth of brand new clothes that didn’t fit me and I couldn’t return. I was offered like $10 for a pair of shoes that were barley worn and over $200. Please take your unwanted clothes elsewhere, there’s thrift stores around that will actually pay you what you deserve and not cheat you. I know that the workers don’t control the way they price, but they way they’re made to price things is actually not worth coming here at all.
I brought clothes to be sold, and I also stayed to shop. It did not take them too long for them to sort through my clothes. The store is pretty organized and pretty clean. The workers were really friendly as well.
